Power consumption

Total power consumption depends on the state of your robot and the specific requirements of a protocol. For example:

  • When idle, the OT-2 can use 90 to 120 W.
  • When active, the OT-2 can use 100 to 180 W.

Exact power consumption is determined by the amount of movement executed during a protocol or the amount of time the robot spends idle. Power consumption may also be affected by the status of the lights on the OT-2 and the number of attached pipettes.
Frame composition Steel and aluminum.
Window composition Polycarbonate plastic.
Ventilation requirements Leave at least 20 cm (8") around the OT-2 to help ensure adequate ventilation.
